Hey guys, I’ve been trying to track down the polished sport exhaust from Dansk without any luck. Last year it seems like they were everywhere for around $400.

I’ve emailed JP Group/Dansk and they sent me a link for what they had available on their site. From what I can tell it seems like they’re only making the unpolished cat backs with the oval muffler and tip.

I’m wondering if any of you guys know where I can source one of the old style exhausts or if anyone has heard anything about their production/availability.

Finally, I’m also curious to hear if anyone has experience with the new style, unpolished muffler. Does it have the same slightly louder than stock tone?

This is what I’m talking about

Maybe like 6-8 months ago I asked Emanual from 944store for a quote on one, He quoted me $380 plus shipping. you could check with him and see what his price is now.

I had an excellent used polished one for sale, advertised it a few times and it hung around for a couple of years, before selling. Perhaps the demand isn't there, so Dansk don't make them any more.

I think the dansk is the most popular bolt on cat back for the 944 at the moment, they are cheap and they sound great, recently at 944 fest and other big 944 gatherings I find them pretty common.

They don't sound much different to a standard exhaust. And I doubt there's much improvement in output.

The muffler on my car right now is pretty rusty and needs to be replaced regardless. I was just hoping to get some info about these unpolished pieces. I wonder if they have similar internals and I wonder why they’re $1000 vs the $380ish that the nicer polished ones were a couple of months ago.

Its probably due to the demand and availability, did you check with 944 store if he can still get them and his price?
