Hey all... Long story short, someone pulled their bag out of my trunk and accidently dragged it across my rear wing, causing some surface scratches in the PPF. It's rare for me to get scratches on my PPF, but it does happen.
I was researching how to get them out, how bad they have to be before just needing to replace the PPF, etc.
A lot of people kept saying just pour a glass of hot water over it. While first thinking that was just pure rubbish, I gave it a shot. Still can't believe it ha. They were very minor scratches, so I am sure that helped a lot. But, they are gone
Most PPF brands are self healing. Just needs a little heat. Even parking in the sun on a warm day will work. I’ve seen most install shops use a heat gun on affected areas.
Glad to hear your investment in PPF paid off and your wing is once again scratch free.
