Which hub do I need to install CS wheel in my 968

As the title says, I have bought a secondhand clubsport steering wheel to go in my 968, replacing the oem airbag wheel. However, when looking at which hub to use, there seem to be different versions, and I cant seem to find the difinitive answer to which one I need.

There seem to be two hub versions and both claim to fit a 968, like shown below. Can anyone confirm which hub I need?

Thanks, Alex

You need the hub in the bottom picture. Your steering column multi-function switch will work fine; you can get the horn working by inserting the horn contact switch, 928-652-104-01 (currently listed as unavailable, but you might find one at Pelican parts, etc.) into the hour-glass hole in the faceplate of the switch. The brown wire from the clockspring can be attached to the rear of the contact with a suitable terminal. Deactivating the airbag light can be performed in various ways.

Have fun.

Both of those hubs are Atiwe type hubs, if you get one that will work on a 964/993, it will work on a 944/968.
You screw in a horn slip ring from a regular steering wheel, which is the difference between the two that you see.

@Motosport Did you get this figured out? I just completed a similar project on my 89 944 S2 including adding a resistor to fool the airbag system. Happy to share my notes if helpful.

Just an update on part availability, for anyone who sees this thread and is installing the steering wheel. For the horn to work, you need a part mentioned above, 928.652.104.01 and pictured below. Most dealer sites still show it as unavailable, however, I just ordered and received it from Gaudin Porsche. It's called a "Combo Switch Retainer Plate" for $29.38.

Ha, ha, the last one of those I purchased way back in 1999 was $3.69.

Unless your car has the horn wire, you still need to wire up that in order for the horn to work. I just wired this up into my car. If anyone needs one of those horn wires I will be selling them on my website in the near future.
