Taycan Cross Turismo

Back in Sept my wife decided it was time to replace her 17 Macan S, and was thinking of another Macan. We had gone to our dealer to talk to them about an allocation and also look at an used 21 Macan Turbo. We test drove the turbo and she decided she wanted the GTS (I wasn't going to argue). But our dealer said allocations won't be until spring and they had a list already. She really wanted an Macan EV, but that still seems away off.

The dealer let us take a Taycan for the afternoon and she really like the way the car drove. But was not thrilled with the sedan. I mentioned the Cross Turismo, and she decided she wanted one. When we got back to the dealer, I asked our SA about allocations. He said he had an allocation that was going to lock in a week. We found another dealer in the area that had a CT on the floor so we went over there to look at the car.

We finalized the order on 10/11. Build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PND6LRI1
The car was built first week of Nov, caught a boat right away and showed on at the dealer yesterday 12/4. Less then 60 days, in these times is just crazy. Car has no open campaigns so nothing is missing.

We pick it up on Friday. Hopefully I get to drive it every now and then.

Anybody else have one?

Wow, congrats! Do you have the charging station all set up?? I wonder if the most-recently designed cars --like the Taycan-- are less reliant on chips that became so hard to get during the initial covid shortfall?

Thanks Tom,

We had a 50 AMP circuit run to the garage with a nema 14-50 socket.

At least for the MY21's there have been issues with parts. There's some people that are waiting on their cars to be finish production (this is from production that started in the summer). Our dealer warned us that we might only receive one key or the steering column maybe manual rather then electric (which would be swapped out later). This car sailed thru and has no open campaigns for anything missing. Just seems to be the luck of the draw. Guess we should but a letter ticket. I know if I had a MY21 on order and MY22's are being delivered, I would not be happy.

There's one guy locally here that had a MY21 on order, but it still was stuck in production. The dealer let him order a MY22 and that car is now inbound, his old M21 still is not finished with production. You would think the factory would get the parts and just finish the production. Just does not make sense. We've done the factory tour and everything is just so scripted, it seems very out of character for Porsche.

Nice ride! The rear headroom in the Cross Turismo is generous compared to the regular Taycan. You’re going to love the car.

Great Color ;) Love my CT4! Found it at a dealership in New York and had it trucked to California. They are hard to find here and the dealers are all charging premiums. Was able to get this at sticker price. Now I look for every excuse to go out for a drive.

My Taycan 4S CT has been waiting at Emden port to be put on a ship since 12/15.
Waiting is soooo hard. Glad to hear people are enjoying them so much.

Loving the gloss black door handles against the white exterior. Great choice.

My MY21 was initially produced in late July and sat unfinished until mid-November. Received here in the northeast in early January and still had/has 3 open campaigns. I’m not at all sure why Porsche handled these cars that were unfortunate enough to be produced during the timeframe outlined above but really a less than satisfactory situation.
