We have a '25 Cayenne E-Hybrid coming soon. The plan for PPF is the typical full front and mirrors, however I was wondering where else the rocks tend to hit on these cars? I've heard the rear arches take a beating. What about the area right behind the front wheels? Does it need it? We are getting the full Sport Design package so with painted rockers, I may consider getting those completely done. Also, probably good to get the ACC and front camera protected as well.

Any suggestions?

Three Cayennes so far and no issues with damage to wheel arches although it does seem they might take a beating. All our Cayennes have had full arches, painted rockers, Sport Design pkgs, etc. (Two were Turbo models, so they had the typical exterior design features Turbos came with.)

I imagine all arches could need protection depending on miles driven, weather, road quality, terrain, etc.

For PPF on the latest '24, I have full front bumper, full front fenders (including front wheel arches), full hood, headlights, complete rocker panels (including about a third of the way up the fronts of the rear wheel arches). It was pretty much the pre-designed track pkg for 9Y0.2 Cayennes with a bit extra added but not much. I had two pieces added on the smallish vertical painted rear surfaces on either side of the lower rear areas above the bumper where the hatch closes to protect a bit when loading/unloading. There may be another piece or two I've overlooked but I think that's pretty much it.

My windshield is the only thig that seems to have a rock magnet.

Following up on this. I had my full front done, mirrors, leading edge of rear arches (although maybe unnecessary) and a bit of the loading area. The door cups came PPF'd from factory as well as door edge guards! I was surprised. I love the little luxury touches of the car.

How are you liking your new Cayenne so far?

I discovered the area in front of and around the rear wheels can get pretty damaged. I had to go to FastSign to get a matching color after the fact.

So I was pleased to find that the door cups and door edges came PPF'd from the factory. One area I did not get PPF on and I've seen immediate wear is just behind the front wheels under the doors on the rocker panel. Not sure on the standard Cayenne, but with the Sport Design package this area is not visible from a standing point of view, but when you look under there it's a panel that is partially vertical and partially horizontal (like an overhang) and it collects a lot of chips.
