I have bits coming from Elliot Grafton to change form early offset(86 turbo) to late offset. This is so I can fit big red upgrade. Looks like I will be using some Dansk clones. I have also ordered genuine 17 inch fuchs in 17 x 8 for front and 17 x 9 for rear. At the same time I am getting some intrax 1K2 coilovers custom built.
Engine is apart and we are working out which way to go as barrels are not perfect at top although bores look great. Looking at options for sleeving. Will be getting new rods too, probably Carrillo.
Suspension and brake upgrade

What had genuine 17” Fuchs? I only know of 15” and 16” versions, all of which are pretty much early offset.
I have M.I.D. sleeves in my engine. It’s 10 years old now and they’ve been great.

Fuchs have started remaking them and have them available in larger sizes now too. I am getting mine through local Australian distributor. These are not replicas and are made using same process as the original ones that came on our cars.

Oh, I’ve seen them before. To my knowledge they were never an OEM supplier of Fuchs, so regardless of the quality, I put them into the category of Replica Wheel. I’m sure they’re of acceptable quality, though.Cyberpunky wrote: Mon Jan 24, 2022 4:30 am Fuchs have started remaking them and have them available in larger sizes now too. Curious what sizes and finish you went with... uh, I see above you chose 17x8 and 17x9. I'm seriously looking at these too but can't decide on finish. I'd be going with the 18s. I'm kinda leaning towards black centers, which should look good on a red car.Cyberpunky wrote: Mon Jan 24, 2022 4:30 am Fuchs have started remaking them and have them available in larger sizes now too. I went black centres as have a red car too. I don't think any wheels look better than fuchs on our 944s

I would appreciate it if you could post some pictures when you get them installed. All the pictures on the Fuchs site are of 911s. Thanks.Cyberpunky wrote: Sun Apr 17, 2022 9:08 pmI went black centres as have a red car too. I don't think any wheels look better than fuchs on our 944s

No problem but it'll be a while as doing car in 2 stages. First is engine, then suspension brakes and wheels in stage 2 so it is a few months away
