Folks-

My local Porsche dealer recommended that, since I drive on gravel roads, that I use all season tires - he recommended either $1,700 Continental extreme contact, $1,720 Bridgestone Potenza, or $1,660 Falken tires. The prices probably are high and I may be able to find better prices.

Any recommendations on what are the best AWD tires for a 2014 991.1 911 Turbo?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My 2¢ is that all three of the tires you listed are excellent. If I had to choose, I'd likely go with the Contis or Bridgestones since I've had good experiences with them. I like the Continentals a lot.

Tires are not cheap, and all of them (especially high-quality versions) have risen substantially the past several years, so the prices from your dealer may be in line. My dealer will match what I can get from Tire rack/Discount Tire (one and the same now and generally where they get their tires anyway), so maybe inquire with your dealer about that.

I swapped out Pirelli p-zeros for Continental DWS06+ and have been pleased with them.

I'll second the recommendation to ask the dealer for pricing. I didn't for these, as I've had great prices and support from Radial Tire (a local shop in Maryland). But I'd gotten pretty competitive pricing from the Porsche dealer for a winter set for my previous Cayenne.

Dealers will generally match Tire Rack’s prices.
I’ve also had Tire Rack deliver tires to dealers and specialist wheel shops for mounting and balancing on their first class equipment and experienced employees to insure the wheels are not damaged.

Need to keep an eye on the mfg date codes with Tire Rack too.
