The Option That Isn't Really An Option: Radiator Grill Screens

Early morning run to the gym, still dark out. Flash of motion picked up by the headlights and then the unsettling sound of impact. 1/2 pound trailer pin straight into the intake at about 40 MPH. I found it sitting at the bottom of the front lip. The RGS screen was bowed back by the impact, but held. I've read people turn their nose up at the zip ties that come with the RGS solution, but I'm here to tell you that beside the fact that they're virtually invisible, they are the reason why the screens held fast and saved a significant radiator expense. Very happy with my RGS screens with how their pattern looks OEM, but now I'm beyond happy with its actual protection.

I have the RadiatorGrill Store side vent screens on my Cayman also, and they have saved me numerous leaves , paper and other debris one can get driving on the street and track. One of the absolute best things is if you call the Company, the owner politely answers all your questions and they do have a couple of other interesting items for Sale.

Though they make grill screens for other cars the owner just happens to be a ..................Porsche owner!

I have the Zunsport screens on my Boxster GTS 4.0. Kind of an oversight to not have come from the factory this way.

I think the RSG mesh design looks more OEM like other P cars. How easy are they to install. Vids I watched make it looks a bit troublesome.

They take longer to put on the protective tape then to get the grill installed. Use a hook or pick type tool to pull them forward to make sure they are fully seated.

Sam, do get the side grills also and watch the video the Company owner does --- they really are helpful for all the clagg from a road course . As noted, call the company if you want, they are quite helpful.

It's insane grilles aren't included. I'm really surprised that Porsche doesn't offer them and let you pick different colors as it would be easy money!
