The 992.2 Turbo S thread...

I am eagerly awaiting the release of the 992.2 Turbo S. Hoping to use this thread as a place for folks to post news, rumors, spy shots, etc. Most seem to say Porsche will announce it before the end of the year. The best spy shots I've seen yet came earlier this month out of Colorado, as shown in this Road & Track article.

I don’t think it will happen but I hope Porsche brings back a few knobs and switches - I’m old and old school

I think the interior is pretty much set based on the other 992.2 models. They did away with the physical tach bezel, so made it more digital than ever.

I don't mind the digital displays.

But I totally despise how they've cheaped out the plastics for controls. It started with the Macan, where they 'value engineered' the interior (aka made it cheaper). They forced that on the Taycan and have since dragged it into the 992. I hate it. At the price point of these vehicles you want to have a sense of quality with your regular use surfaces. If I want cheap plastics I'll go buy a Camry.

Am I correct in assuming that you're on the list?

There's a list? Not on a list, but patiently waiting for the launch and then I'm really hoping to hold out for PTS this time, although I'm not sure I really like any PTS colors more than Guards Red.
