How to De-activate Motion Sensor to use Weather Radar App when moving?

Have a 2025 Macan S and want to know how to, or can, the motion sensor be de-activated to let me use the weather radar app when moving?
Right now, when we see heavy weather ahead, we must pull over and stop to use the Weather Radar app when we are moving. Great app to have but it kind of defeats the purpose if I have to stop or wait till next traffic light to use it!
Thank-you.

Are you referring to the Porsche Weather App? If so, I doubt there’s an easy way to make it stay live while the car is moving, as it was likely designed to behave as you’ve described.
But, Apple CarPlay will allow you to run a weather app while driving that should give you what you want.
If you haven’t setup or experimented with Apple CarPlay yet, it’s pretty useful.

Hi, Senior Mecan Owner!
First, bless you for your service!
Second, as has been mentioned, you can use Apple Car Play or possibly Android Auto. I'm not sure what exactly is compatible with the Mecan system.
That said, I would highly recommend you and/or your travel partner download the Weather Bug app to your smartphone. Then, whomever is the passenger, can easily keep track of the weather while the other is driving.
In my experience, that phone application is much better at showing current radar activity than any car weather display I've personally come across.
There are other weather applications I use in addition to Weather Bug, but the Weather Bug app is good, and very easy to use.
Cheers

on my Boxster GTS 4.0, I use Android Auto and an app from weatherandradar.com to provide radar as we move. Not sure what the missus' Cayenne has. I'll have to check when it returns home.
