wheel spacers

I have a 2025 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 with standard 20" wheels, standard 20mm PASM drop.
2 questions:
1. What brand and size wheel spacers are you using? (I just want to push them out a little bit for aesthetics.)
2. Has anyone had a negative experience using spacers on their 718?

I was running some 10mm front spacers for a while, they came with 10mm longer lug bolts. I had installed front camber plates to add camber which brings in the top of the tire. I have since removed them now that I have added GT3 style front arms.

My advice is that you need the 5 finger center hub style that is used on the 718 and 992 generation. Prior generation like the 981 and 991 used three finger center hubs.

Some higher end spacers are designed to accommodate both but most are going to be one or the other. Lots of brands out there so I don't have a recommendation of what is best or what to avoid.

I also had modified my suspension and tire sizes so that the spacer sizes I used would not be a great comparison to your needs. I have also previously used spacers on other cars with no problems. I don't love them in theory but in practice they work fine and lots of people used them daily. Pushing the tire a bit further out can really make the difference on how a car looks and that is absolutely part of the fun.

Same as Jeremy, I've altered my front suspension to allow more negative camber (-2.75 square) using aftermarket Tarett Engineering parts. I run Apex 19" forged wheels for track use and the 20" stock OEM wheels for off-season.

The front 20" OEM wheels are too far inwards for my tastes, so I added 5mm spacers from Apex and correct (5mm longer) Porsche 63mm bolts w/collars from Suncoast for the front 20" stock wheels. (Could get the longer bolts from your Porsche dealer if you prefer.)

Same story here and frankly getting the the new , longer studs and bolts is a great idea for safety and if you want to add spacers. Order from Apex Wheels like Blueline did and take time to look over their wheels. Downsizing to 18s and 19s will also change the look for you and obcviously there is expense there with. new wheels and tires if you do so, but they are. quite reasonable for a forged wheel and they are made to Porsche specs. Check the fitment guide.

You must not drive in the rain, or on roads that have any gravel or grit on them. I do, and the last thing I want is to move the tires out to throw more road schmutz and gravel at the side of the car. It's bad enough as it is...

I understand what Arne is mentioning, but this will be a concern for those who put oversize tires on their cars for various reasons ( looks, track or autocross time, etc. ). This issue is why many folks are putting PPF on their Porsches when they get them. I have done it on many of my vehicles as I have been doing various forms of racing or track time for 45 years. I have never done a full car but I do not stop with just the front, because Arne is correct about things nicking down the sides. So you might also consider doing this is you have not.
