Where might one find a turbo oil seal for Vitesse stage 3 turbo?

Paging @Fast951... John is still around. I'm guessing he can get you one.

Not sure why there’s a gasket over the o-ring. Prob why it leaks.

Can't remember the details, but that style of turbo will leak without the paper gasket over the o-ring. Huntley Racing used the same gasket for the same reason, for those ancient enough to remember them. Always seemed a bit clumsy to me, but it worked so just went with the flow. I've used them many times over the o-ring with no leaks (including the turbo that's been on my car the last 10 years or so...). Both Huntley and Vitesse used a particularly thick (white) version of those gaskets --not the typical thin ones you more commonly find on the Internet -- which I 'think' were originally designed for Garrett center sections. If John doesn't chip in here, I'll see if I can find the, on the web. I have a spare or two to compare with.

Seems odd. I don’t remember one in my Vitesse stg 2 that I took off. Maybe it’s different.

Already exchanged emails with the OP.

As a FYI for future reference:

Both the Oring and the paper gasket must be used. As Tom mentioned, the thick gasket must be used. The shape of the gasket must match the one in the picture above (center of gasket is not round!)

You are looking for "Turbo oil return gasket". Some sellers add "Garrett CHRA or cartridge" in the description.

If needed, I may have a picture with dimensions of the gasket.

At one point, years ago, someone came up with a metal gasket with a Oring. Seems to work as well.

To the OP.

The paper gasket, in your posted picture, is damaged or someone modified it. Examine the shape of the drain hole.

Thanks John (and nice to see you) -- I'm 99% sure I still have one so will pull it out later and measure. Always hard to know from internet ads, but this one appears to be it...

P.S., I tried the metal gasket with o-ring and it leaked/seeped. I went back you the ones you supplied and have never had an issue. Huntley supplied the same ones, so people have been using them for some 30+ years... If it ain't broke...

Hi Tom, it has been a while.

The gasket in the link you posted is the correct one.
