Any suggestions on a coolant pressure tester for a NA 944? I am planning on keeping the car for a while, and would like to own one rather than lend one from my local auto parts store (have checked in the past, and it always seems to be "checked out" anyway). I have seen mentions of the Stant 270 online, which appears to no longer be sold new. Any suggestions here, or should I consider buying a secondhand Stant unit?

For years I used the kind with the inflatable bladder that goes into the neck of the coolant reservoir. You need to clamp off the overflow hose with that style and the bladders eventually fail. Recently, I got this one (OEM Tools 27069) and can vouch for it working well on my turbo (so presumably on an n/a too), with no need to clamp the overflow line.

Amazon has a bunch as well. We have the most common radiator cap style, so any one of them will probably work. I was recently using the one I got 40 plus years ago from J.C.Whitney.
