I just got my 86 3.2 back from paint correction, ceramic coating and undercarriage steaming. Given 36 years old and original paint, i'm pretty happy with how it came out. I normally do this kind of work myself, but was apprehensive given the single stage paint:

Well done.
I had a 1988 Porsche Carrera in Guards Red that I bought with 82,000 miles on it. I sold it later for more than I paid* for it with ~125,000 miles (bought a 993). Those engines will last forever with proper care.
* That was 1/3rd the current market

I paid about $1500 for the single stage paint correction, ceramic coat, and undercarriage steam cleaning.

Not sure what it looked like before, but I'd say you got a million dollar look at a $998,500 discount.

Ha. Overall it looks pretty good.
It's 36 years old with imperfections for sure, but my guy got many of the swirl marks from decades of use out and the car shines really well.
I was so nervous about working single stage paint so hired someone who was skilled in it. He tells me that there are numerous spots on the car that are rather thin. In those areas, he was very limited on what he could do.

I'm not understanding your question. Are you asking what paint correction is ??
Correcting the paint. Reducing/eliminating scratches, swirl marks, removing contaminants, etc.
