I just installed the Suncoast Hood Protector SKU: DASSCHILDBOX both front and rear. GREAT protect to protect the front and rear hood on my 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0. Can't believe Porsche does not build the cars with this included. I am real careful on what I put in the trunk(s) but you never know!! It took 5 minutes to install! On the Facebook "Porsche 718 Global" group a bunch of people thought it was a bad idea. All the way from adding too much weight (really 5 pounds total), I told them pass on the large french fry next time! Many said they just pay attention to what they put in their trunks so denting the hood from the inside would never happen (until the first time). To each his own I guess...opinions are like elbows, everyone has at least a couple!!

This mod is a no brainer. It weighs next to nothing and on a installation difficulty scale of 1-10 it’s a minus 5.

Hmmm..... Now I have to go look at the frunk of my 992. Wonder if it's also vulnerable like that?

This a worthwhile addition! Touring with our Caymans (981 or 718) is great fun but the Al hoods are so fragile. Duffles and cases of wine fit fine without fear.

I think the lid protector was one of the first items I purchased. It’s also worth mentioning that it looks OEM and the installation literally takes 60 seconds.

To me this is like the radiator grille screens: extra insurance and peace of mind. But again, to each his/her/non-binary own...
