992 Exhaust mod

Just picked up a 992 2s with pse. But find it somewhat lacking in sound. Any suggestions on what to do to make it louder. Change the exhaust or unplug the valves?
Thanks
Thanks
I have a 991.2 S and the Soul Sport Cats make a night and day difference when Sport Exhaust is turned on and even more when Sport driving mode is selected. It's great because in Normal driving mode with Sport Exhaust turned off, it's only moderately different which helps if you like to enter and leave your community quietlyGustorresii wrote: Tue Jun 28, 2022 8:06 am I had a 991.2 S, which is similar, that had a rather tame sound. All I did was add sport cats (Soul) and a tune and all was fine once in Sport+ mode. Cost of the mod was about $5K and was considered and Stage 2 tune.
I eventually will do the same to my new 992 GTS… just need to wait for more funds:)

I have a tune but honestly don't think that has any effect whatsoever on the sound of the exhaust.
There aren’t many ‘bolt on’ modifications that will give you improved/louder/throatier sound over stock system besides sport cats or headers both of which for good quality run around $3k-ish a piece. You can get some a little cheaper that will sound more or less the same but if we’re taking about the 992, why would you want to go cheap on after market mods on a $150k+ German sports car? The only exception that will give you more sound for less money is to go catless but then you’re flirting with epa standards making your vehicle essentially illegal to drive (except on track) in many places.
I agree. Additionally removing the cats often time leads to exhaust fumes that can be smelled inside of the car.Tier1Terrier wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 10:00 amThere aren’t many ‘bolt on’ modifications that will give you improved/louder/throatier sound over stock system besides sport cats or headers both of which for good quality run around $3k-ish a piece.
