Anyone having problems with the charger cutting off before complete charge. I do all my charging at home and have my charger set at 85%. Several months ago the charging process was interrupted by charging error and I had to restart the charger to get it completed. I had the recalls performed by the dealer and got the car back today was assured the charging problem was solved. Wasn't the case as I tried to charge today and received the error again. Anyone else have this problem? Any solution that you know of?

Question: were you current limited in charge? Mine (Taycan 4s) tripped my 50amp breaker. Needed to adjust current to 35a to get to full charge.

Same with me. Since I adjusted down to 35amp several weeks ago I've had no problems. Probably takes a little longer to charge but since I do all mine at home what do I care.

Does the Taycan 100% charge point correspond to the Tesla 80% recommendation or does Porsche just not have that concern about full charge? My friend with a new Tesla charges to 80% unless he has a trip the next day.

Porsche recommends charging to 85%. If you do have a trip the following day okay to occasionally charge to 100%.

We ended up installing a chargepoint home flex charger on a 50 amp circuit. Haven't had any issues with it, but did have issue with the PMC standard charger. The chargepoint runs at 40amp when set for a 50amp circuit, giving you the 20% buffer.

Maryland had a rebate/grant program for installing a home charger, we received $750 for the install, which covered the charger.

Thanks for the heads up. Ever since my I dialed mine back to charge to 35 amps I've had no problem. Thanks a little longer is all.

I use my PMCC max'd out at 40A without any issues. In the past, I have dialed it down when I left the car stored and plugged in for more than 2 weeks at a time. This year, I replaced the NEMA 14-50R that the electrician installed with a Hubbell 14-50R. Although the Porsche cord/plug heats up when using the PMCC at 40A, the Hubbell receptacle remains fairly cool. I also installed an air conditioner unit in the garage to keep the ambient air temp to 75F during the hot and humid Atlanta summer.
