I ended up securing an allocation after getting jerked around by a few dealerships. Yes, I had to pay an ADM but am happy to do so considering the current challenges. While being entertained with my freeze date coming and going, only to be pushed and reintroduced....along with the delivery date jumping like a confused cricket, I was wondering if things are starting to settle down? Are options still being removed from builds due to supply chain? It seems like most used 718 models are starting to come down, but new builds are still tough without ADM.
What trends are you seeing?

I got an allocation at the end of May for a Cayman S, with no ADM, from Porsche Beaverton. Last delivery estimate I heard was my birthday, Dec 9
They did require I pay for PPF and two years' service, both of which I would've done anyway

You're in my neck of the woods. I had trouble getting an allocation at Beaverton. Not sure if it was due to being a GTS vs. an S or not? But I do service my current 981 CS at Porsche Beaverton. My allocation came up later than yours, but is supposed to be delivered in Oct. I guess things are all over the map right now. Your 718 S may get moved up and mine back for all we know.

Oh nice, yeah I originally approached them about a GTS allocation in May (along with Spokane, Bend, Seattle) and everyone was saying either "never" or "maybe in 18 months if they still exist at that point", so I got on the waiting list for an S expecting a year wait and ended up getting offered one right away. My lock date's not until September but I haven't heard anything so far about options unavailable or delays

Yep, will be selling it some time between now and October.. going to miss the color (gutted it's gone as an option for 2023 models) but very excited about getting back in a manual & having a special interior in the new oneTom wrote: Tue Jul 19, 2022 11:47 am Wait, you're not getting rid of the Lava Cayman are you? The Lava is really cool. I have a 6mt now, but am looking forward to the PDX. I love manuals, but the gearing is a bit long for autocross. I also want my wife to enjoy the car and possibly start participating in events as well. I haven't decided whether I'll keep the 981 or not.
My build locked and unlocked, only to relock 3 times. But I think I'm finally locked, with production starting in the next few weeks..........keeping my fingers crossed.
