Lifter tick but unusual

Here’s a scenario I haven’t heard about before: lifter tick that starts after the engine is warm and then goes away within a few minutes.
I went for a short drive the other day and had the usual 944 noises on cold start. On my way home, I noticed some pretty loud lifter tick. Oil pressure was around 3.5 bar at idle, coolant temp almost halfway up (95 degree day), and no other noises or vibrations. I was 2 min from my garage so decided to just go home and diagnose it, but the noise was gone before I got home. Engine ran perfectly the whole time and nothing seems amiss. Oil is Redline 20w50. The engine is pretty clean (recent rod bearings and cam chain tensioner pads), but maybe a chunk of gunk got in one lifter and then worked its way back out? The noise started and stopped gradually, so seems like a lifter slowly lost and then slowly gained pressure. Anyone here ever experience this?
