wondering if anyone has had similar experience and suggestion for my 2022 992:

I am noticing a rattle/buzz noise that seems to emanate from the right rear of the cabin, possibly from the BOSE speaker when going over bumps at high speed. There isn't a buzz from the stereo or problem with the speaker itself.

Anyone had this happen or suggestions?

There is a quiet campaign to fix a rattle in the door by the front speaker. If it happens to be the one in the video below, the dealer knows all about it and has an update part they will install to fix it. My 992 had a slight tick/creak in the back quarter panel area, but it seems to have gone away with time -- or it was really the rear of the door panel and I fixed it when I went in and put Krytox inside. On my 991, I had a creak/rattle that sounds just like the one you are describing. The dealer (Cory at Fremont) put in a ton of time trying to fix it and eventually took the panel off and felted the back side of it. It was the panel that surrounded the post for the fold down seat. One thing that helped, but didn't eliminate it completely, was removing that post and putting felt under the opening (without pulling the panel).

I detest rattles and buzzes in my car, so after the dealer fixed the speaker rattle, I noticed some tick/clicks under the door panel. Turns out they missed a clip in the little triangle trim piece in the corner (Cory was out that day....), but I ended up making a study of it and adding Krytox to all the friction points.... I had a rattle in the right door also - definitely the speaker. The dealer replaced the Bose speaker under warranty and it is fine now. The campaign for the speaker fix has been out for a while. Both door speakers have now been replaced. Good luck.

there's a TSB from couple months ago to zip tie the unsecured electrical wire powering the (?) lower red "door open " warning light & puddle light installed in the door panel
..it may click and clack between metal outer door and inner door panel in some 992s ( note image shows the removed LEFT side INNER door panel , not the metal right door outer skin ! )

Welcome to Carpokes. Great post, thank you! Interesting. My car seems pretty rattle-free right now but every now and then when cold I do hear a little click/tick in that area....

I had my door panel off a while ago, and took these pics. I assume wire with the red arrows if the one called out in that TSB?

If you haven't seen it, if helpful, I did a how-to on removing the 992 door panel here:

And a 60-second youtube on it here:

Well we're happy to have you! Which board has that video? I started Carpokes because so many of the general Porsche boards have been gobbled up by big media companies, and that really changes the spirit of the board in my opinion. Carpokes is happy to be owned and operated solely by --and solely for-- hardcore Porsche fans!

Ah, that's great -- hope it helps folks over on RL (and encourages some to join over here!). The videos I could find either had Blair Witch camera work, included unnecessary steps, or took longer to watch than to do the actual job. That's why I did mine in the 60-second format just to get to the point without the fluff and/or erratic camera work. :)

I'm with you an all-things-automotive. We have an annual downtown Saratoga car show, and my friends were laughing a few years ago when I was obsessed with a Yugo. It was in perfect condition with under 10k miles and just came across to me as the perfect execution of a what it was designed/intended to be. Cars tend to be a good real-world indicator of the state of technologies -- metal forming, machinery, engine technology, rubber, glass, electronics, textiles, etc., etc. -- all come together in a car. Hard to find other things that touch our lives everyday that rely on so many different technologies. If you took that Yugo and dropped it into the 1930's -- it would be a virtual space ship on wheels.
