Michael: My amateur club racer efforts in SCCA E Production and ICSCC rules have gotten me down to the minimum weight of 2250lb with driver (180) and 2 gallons of fuel (12) at the end of a race. This is with an N/A 8V, 260HP motor.
So the car weighs 2058lbs empty, putting me 90 lbs more than your ...

Re: Freeze plug size
I found a 16.2mm freeze plug locally, sounds right to me. I like the JB weld idea. I'll see if Michael knows the real deal, this motor will have one of his heads on it.
Thanks Tom

Re: Freeze plug size
Thanks Tom, I'm pretty sure it's 16mm. My next question is installation. Use anaerobic flange sealant? Permatex Ultra Grey? Freeze it first?

Freeze plug size
Hi all, I'm looking for the exact freeze plug size inside the block of a 3.0L engine. Not the ones at the ends of the block but the internal one next to cylinder 1. It blocks off coolant between the bottom of the motor and the oil cooler internals. It's only visible with the oil pan off the block ...

Re: 3D Printed Intake Manifolds
Very interesting post considering my current application. My current off-season race car build will split between two classes. One will be the E Production 2.7 8V N/A with single TB/stock manifold and the other is a Super Production which allows ITBs. If it works out, I can swap configurations and ...

Re: 944 N/A Picture Thread
Thanks Tim, in 2015 I started racing spec 944 and have gone full tilt ever since. My interest in this forum is due to Michael Mount posting his secrets about N/A motors. Just sayin'. Thanks MM.

Re: 944 N/A Picture Thread
This is my E Production 944. I have a build post on RL but just joined here. Covid build in 2020/21. I've been racing it for two full seasons in the Pacific Northwest with great results. It's an N/A 8-valve 2.5L that weighs 2295 lbs with me in it. Extremely fun to drive and very competitive.
