718 ABS License Plate Mounts

Hi Tom,

I'm a new CarPokes member and this is my first post.

I was told about your license mounts today by a friend, a Gold service tech at our local dealership who knows that I've been on the hunt for quite some time for a solution to license plate hole-strip concerns. Constantly removing/re-mounting my license plate is not ideal no matter how careful one is (and I am). Your solution is fantastic!

I have a white 718 GT4 but I'm thinking the black mounts will be fine and maybe even preferred to the white which, as you mentioned, will yellow in time. And yes, plenty of black bits on the car already, so I think black will be perfect.

If still ok I'll email you using the guidelines on your "store" link.

The installation of the no drill license plate mount was the first thing I did when I picked up my new 718. Super easy 3 min install.

I'll keep my eyes open for your email. Are you local in the SF Bay Area? There are a few dealer techs locally that chat-up my mounts, but it would be cool to hear the word is getting out to dealers in other parts of the country.

I've have a hard time keeping up with demand for the black 718 mounts. I just sold my last set from the emergency hold-over batch I had made, but am waiting for a nice big batch to be ready. Should be any day now I think/hope. I do have them in white right now. They are not natural ABS white, which yellows very fast, but rather dyed white ABS, which holds its color longer (but still yellows some over time).

I'm in the Nashville, TN area so the word is definitely getting further out, not only about the mounts but also about Carpokes. It will be easy to spread the word around here (which I'll also do) so maybe you'll be seeing more requests from our neck of the woods!

The color doesn't really matter that much although the idea that the white will eventually yellow is pushing me towards black. Maybe others will have an opinion.
