I finally got in for full front end PPF plus roof and lower rear bumper. I went with an STEK installer. After looking at a YouTube video using their gloss carbon fiber I thought it might look good on the roof and would be great way to cover a big rock chip that I touched up but was never going to be perfect without a respray. I was so impressed with the film I decided to do the hood in the gloss carbon fiber as well. I was really on the fence but think it looks great.

It really is surprisingly realistic which is the only reason I went for it.Growler48 wrote: Sat Oct 29, 2022 7:11 pm Looks great in the pictures! How realistic does it look in person?

On the Black it looks great. When you get a chance, post up some outside pics in the sunlight. Would love to see it in natural light.
Carbon fiber wrap is kind of amazing when you price it against actual CF panels.

I think that looks awesome! I also think you should coat that PPF with HALO by GTechniq. It is formulated for coating PPF, easy to apply, and very impressive performance. I dont work for GTechniq or sell it, I just use it.

I added a couple more that I just happened to have. Will try and get a few focused on the PPF itself outsideLeader wrote: Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:31 am On the Black it looks great. When you get a chance, post up some outside pics in the sunlight. Would love to see it in natural light.

I also use Gtechniq coatings on all my cars (I do some detailing as a monetized side hobby). STEK installer claims the film has a ceramic coating and doesn't recommend any other coating on top but I still plan to try what you mentioned with Halo as I have some on hand and see how is works.Southbama wrote: Tue Nov 01, 2022 10:25 am I think that looks awesome!
