LOVE that garage. Doing a free-standing Texaco gas station style garage was my original plan, but we fell in love with this house/property, and a free-standing garage wasn't in the cards from a zoning perspective. Can't wait to see yours as you progress. I'm thinking vintage gas pumps out front.

The scissor trusses look great in your garage in addition to the giving the extra room should you need it.
I had them done when we built our carport and garage additions many years ago. The scissor trusses opened up the carport and they aided the visual transition from the house to the garage. It's also handy that we can access the garage several different ways.
Always wanted a vintage gas pump too. No idea where I'd put it now but they are cool, no doubt. (Way off topic, but I'd like an original arcade game such as Defender or Asteroids to put next to the pump! I had both 30 years ago but let them go for a song. Thanks! The carport and garage additions were built 25-years ago and I've loved every minute of them since. Having the carport is great for keeping out of the weather when coming and going.
Looks great in the picture. My brain probably registered it and prompted my 'you should get a gas pump' comment, since I didn't notice it. I had plans for an old coke vending machine or refrigerator, but every time I add a new piece of shop equipment, the available space gets smaller. One idea I've had forever is to put an old London mailbox somewhere in front of the garage and use it as a paint/powder coating booth, complete with filtered downdraft from above. Currently when it rains or is windy, I'm out of business in terms of painting. There is one outside a nearby restaurant and I think it would be perfect with a little work. From a distance it looks great, up close it’s clearly not a real pump. Great novelty item at a decent price though. Tons to choose from.
It pains me to say, but right after I went to work in the family business we threw away a barn full of glass globes for old pumps, most still in their original boxes. Then a few years later we sold off all the old Tokheim and G&B gas pumps gor scrap. Also a couple of old coke boxes and a 19th century cash register. At various times we sold Phillips 66, Esso/Enco/Exxon, Uncalled, Citgo and ConocoPhillips. Before my time were a few other brands going back to 1926, including WooCo Pep. I'll have to be content to have the signs on the wall, repros all, we threw away tons of old brand signs too, big ones.
