Hi JD, good for you. I wish I had a new car on order. We are currently driving a 2011 Q-5 that we picked up in 2014. My garage is presently full with 2004 Carrera (996) Arctic Silver and a Black with tan interior TTs that I bought last summer. It is a 2012. I am finding the winter long here in Toronto waiting for April 1st when I put them back on the road. The only benefit is I only have to put gas in one vehicle for a few months.
"Think summer"!

Welcome @Jdhiker !

Your post sounds like the rebirth of a new adventure. Congrats! Post pics if so inclined - we all like pictures, especially ones with compelling backstories such as yours.

I'm no last word on much of anything regarding Porsches, especially early 911's, but your "new" Carerra Targa looks good! Thanks for the pic and good luck on all you have planned for the car.

And your "barn" (as you call it) is quite nice too. Inviting. Real wood plank flooring that looks like it could last until the end of time! Very cool and special.

Thanks. The barn is over 100 yrs old. That is original wood. I’m going to be doing more on the walls and cleaning out the crap since this is its home

JD, here are my two cars. I expect to have them on the road by the beginning of April. All I do now is look at them daily to make sure they are still there.
In the meantime, we run around in a 2011 Audi Q5 which is perfect for winter driving. The downside is that is stays outside and has to be cleaned off every time it snows.
I sure wish I had a barn like yours.

Like your comment regarding looking at them daily. It's good they're both still there and also that they have a place to winter out of the elements with their "blankets" intact. However, next time you uncover them for a more in-depth mid-winter check, post some pics!
