As shown in these mounts (and in the one's I did for the GTS Chronicles), I now have the ability to embed simple messages and logos in the license plate mounts, and print in various colors. It's time consuming to set up, and each request needs to pass our lengthy print-to-sample feasibility testing :shifty: but it does open up new possibilities in case you really want green mounts with a lightening bolt on them or something.

I have a set of these installed on my '22 CGTS and also my '18 VW GTI. The GTI was rear-ended while my daughter was stopped at a traffic light less than a mile from home. The sun was coming up directly ahead, and the driver that hit my daughter didn't even see the traffic light or the car before hitting it...twice (the main impact, and then a second, slower impact). Fortunately, my daughter was fine. The license plate was actually bent/imprinted into the shape of Tom's license plate mounts by the impact. I handed the car over to the repair shop, figuring that I'd never see that license plate again - nevermind Tom's mounts that were behind it. Amazingly, the shop straightened out the license plate, and re-installed Tom's license plate mounts with new tape after replacing and painting the new rear hatch and bumper! So, these mounts have been impact tested! Highly recommended!

So sorry about the accident. My nephew was just hit from behind too, and it definitely gets you thinking. So glad your daughter was fine. And wow (!) on the mounts holding up under an accident like that! :o  :P

Since I'm going to the Rennsport Dragon Rally at the end of the month, I figured I needed to ensure my license plate is secured. So, this weekend I used some cutting compound to polish the car where the two corners that kept coming up in order to remove the ceramic coat. I then doubled the tape on both of those to account for the bend in the plate.

It has been ywo days and so far so good.

Got the mounts over the weekend and just went out there and installed them. They are nicely built!
