Looks better on a Chalk car IMO. I resisted for a long time but finally got it done, and it went perfectly.

Lookin' good!

Now that your resistance has faded away and the lenses have been installed, I can go ahead and say that your already fine-looking Cayman has reached new levels of fineness! ;)

My wife had a meeting on Mon morning in Gunnison CO so I volunteered to be the chauffer and take the Cayman. Leaving from just west of Denver, we headed towards Buena Vista CO to hit Cottonwood Pass, which is now paved in both directions and to stay over night in Crested Butte CO. We had not been on this route nor in Crested Butte in 20 yr. Cottonwood Pass tops out at just over 12,000 ft (~3600 m) and the road is a cornucopia of turns! It used to be a dirt road and it took 3 yr to pave it.

Leaving Sun we dealt with all of the RV and travel trailers (some so big they were being towed with a tractor from a semi) coming back from the weekend trip or their Sun move to a new campground. Public Service Announcement: Twisty roads and 30 mph is very bland but at least we were in the Cayman! We ran through some rain storms and wound up in Crested Butte to glorious sun 75 F temps and a great evening with dinner downtown along Coal Creek. We stayed at the Elk Mtn Lodge that had a great view from our balcony of Crested Butte itself. We drove up to the ski resort and onto the back side for some great views of the Elk Range of mountains.

After the meeting on Mon, we headed back home having to pause to let some really strong high mountain thunderstorms pass and we had heard of some snow above 13,000 ft. We saw some at the end of the drive as we descended over the last pass on the backside of the continental divide. Being a Mon afternoon just about all of the RVs and travel trailers were absent. Before us was 57 mi of twisty road and very little traffic. It was a blast! Made really good time and got back ahead of schedule even with the storm delay. The car is a CPO and they had put new Yokohama Advan Sport tires all around. Very impressed with their handling in the wet and non-hydroplaning behavior.

Went through 3 or 4 bouts of rain and saw 4 rainbows, some of which were double rainbows. The car is now filthy - but happy! Impressed on how comfortable the Cayman is for a road trip and the ability to hold two carry on suitcases and a briefcase in the frunk.

Off to clean the Cayman!
I’m jelly! Fabulous road….first time over (1986) Cottonwood Pass was in our ’60 Olds 98 Convertible….last time (2006) was the Bicycle Tour of Colorado on a Look 586.

Today, John @Leader and I (John 90% / I held the flashlight) installed a leather covered and stitched sports chrono enclosure for my 718 GTS. I’m very happy with it!

It’s a beautiful piece…and when it comes to contrasting stitching, is there such a thing as too much? I don’t think so.
Installation was easier and faster than @Larry C and I thought it would be.
Free Tip: a good set of trim tools is your friend.

Looks fantastic. I'm sorry I didn't get you the black bezel in time for that job, but happy to report it's holding up fine on the dash of my truck -- in the sun, in the mid-90's all week. I'm thinking it's good to go!

It is such a ridiculous example of how far Porsche goes to attempt to jazz up every item or option that I know I had to order it for it's sheer nutso factor!
I think you may find that you enjoy it every time you fill up. I do mine. It's only nutso if you don't drive enough to get to know it. ;)

 I wish I had someone help... I think it would of made my chrono job much faster lol. I had lots of trouble getting the rear plug out while holding it up enough so it wouldn't scratch my leather.

So, my latest AliExpress delivery arrived yesterday. It was not expensive and I didn’t have big hopes for it, but after a “tryout” I decided to install it.
It’s (faux) carbon fiber surrounding the switches on the center console. I re-affixed my enamel “718” badge and I’m good to go! 😎
