Thanks for joining Carpokes and welcome aboard. My history with Las Vegas goes back decades. My grandfather moved there in the 1950’s. It was a very small town then. Please keep us updated with your 914 project! Maybe post photos if you feel so inclined.
Regards,
Larry

Welcome aboard! Poor little 924. In its defense, it cost considerably less some options on a modern Porsche... They came out when I was in high school and was the stuff of dreams back then.

Hello everybody,
I just came across this site, been too busy in the garage to notice it before. I’ve always been into Porsches but with plenty of other types of cars in between. My first one back in the 80s was a 66, 911. I wish I never sold that car but getting married and having children put a lot of new constraints on a small income. Many years went by and a lot of other cars before I decided to sell my hot rods and buy another 911. I picked up at 74 that I probably should have not bought and a 75, 914 project that I want to put a 3 L into.
I live in Tucson now, but I am from the SF bay area. I am a retired carpenter that just loves building things with wood and metal.
Looking forward to getting to know this site and meeting more people with a like mind of tinkering on their cars. I guess I should stop and get back in the garage. The car won’t get finished by itself. Lol.

Love the background, including not only your Porsches and other cars that you've enjoyed, but also that you love building things, especially out of wood. Wood is a wonderful material. (Well, metal too.) Anyway, skilled carpentry is to be greatly admired in my book.

Thanks for the photo and welcome to Carpokes!
