STL PART FILE
This piece is for the Front Right Long Trim Piece on the 944 (Specifically my 951) that houses the clock, 12v outlet & Hazard light switch. This piece rests between the Heater Control Unit and the Dash.
After 30+ years this plastic gets brittle and can cause this tab to break off.

NOTE
You might need to sand down the side of the trim piece as this is a tight press fit. You can permanently fix these pieces together with an epoxy if desired.

Thank you!cp99 wrote: Fri Aug 16, 2024 12:27 pm This is amazing. Do you have to plastic weld this piece to the factory trim?
No, you do not. It can just be press-fitted onto the side rail or can permanently fixed if you desire. I used thin double-sided tape inside the channel to adhere it to the factory trim piece then put a small bead of Super Glue Gel just for good measure.

I missed this when you first posted it, but it's a brilliant design. Thank you for posting it! It could save quite a few pieces from the scrap heap!!
