Got into cars a bit late after I left competitive sports. From that point on, car related hobbies have been my life outside of family, work, and enjoying the outdoors with friends. Over the years I’ve strived to create a balance. Got into cars in a big way about twenty years ago when I connected with a local community I lived in and created not only amazing memories with all the cars I owned but also life long friendships along the way. Started with JDM cars and still enjoy them. As career aspirations grew so did car aspirations. Owned about 25 cars over the course of about 30 years. Currently drive different cars for different purposes from track days, GT tours with friends, off-road adventures, or just fun drives on ‘B’ roads for a little self-reflection.

My current pride and joy: ‘06 track built supercharged Honda S2000. Most simple and fun car to drive: ‘22 Miata RF Club. The Jack of all Trades: ‘21 M2 Competiton. The Overlander: modified ‘17 4Runner TRD Off-road. Daily driver: ‘23 4Runner as the only stock vehicle in the family. My introduction to Porsche was the purchase of a GT Silver ‘21 Boxster 25th anniversary edition in MT a few years ago. I love the mid engine platform and performance so much that I also just bought an Aventurine Green ‘25 Cayman GTS 4.0 in PDK with LWBS.

I’m educated in different car platforms but by no means an expert in all of them. Many of my favorite car related Youtube channels include: DriveTribe, Driver’s Paddock, Moto IQ, Throttle House, and Jet Fuel. My intent to join this forum is to learn from others who have a lot more experience with Porsche ownership and cars. Look forward to getting to know others.

Happy New Year!

Location: Indianapolis IN area
Occupation: Retired knee surgeon
Home Track: Putnam Park Road Course with The Club home to fellow gearheads and track enthusiasts who have evolved into a great friend group.
Porsche history: Age 3 had a wire controlled 356; age 6 road in the back of a 911 as my great uncle threw me around
A few street 911s then tried my turbo on a track and wanted a more track focused car.
Track dedicated 2008 RS with cup car suspension followed by 2016 RS and now 2025 RS.
Other cars: Started with old muscle (70 Hemi Cuda and Hemi Challenger, 440 6pk Cuda, GT500 KR, Shelby 65 GT350, and 289 Cobra CSX 2573) then 71 XKE, Triumph Stag, Tiger 2, Pantera, 63 Split window. All gradually sold to allow for a new stable. Dan Clarke our track pro, drove 4 of my cars for YouTube MotorVault.com channel

Now AMG GTR Pro at the track and looking for Z06 to replace my Audi LMS Ultra GT3 for track only use.
At home, STO, Speciale and the 2025 RS for road and track.

Hi Ronan, good for you acquiring a P car. When I was your age there is no way I could afford a car, a bicycle was more my speed. I did however drive my mother's 1956 Morris Minor once I got my driver's license. I acquired my 2004 Porsche 996 in 2012. It is the best and most fun car I ever owned. I would love a new one and buy a ticket in the Porsche Club of America raffle twice a year but...no wins yet.
You are going to have a ball with your car and you will find a lot of kindred spirits in Carpokes.
Happy New Year and may you acquire many Porsches in your life.
