As always there are (at least) two sides to the story, and based on the comments I tend to think the author did little legwork and no verification of facts.... The part about the family lawsuit is weak on details, who is suing the Mrs? Not her children it seems, so that part alone shows weak investigation from the writer. Maybe she can sell and come out OK, it sure looks complicated.
From a purely Porsche standpoint, there are tons of desirable parts there, even if some came from stolen cars. The enthusiasts need this source.

The "Back Story" I know has been all over for a while. Sara has been advertising that the time to unload LA Dismantlers has come. Just too much work for her and the family after her husband died. Seems like she tried some creative ideas to keep it going but perhaps her heart just wasn't up to the task of running the huge operation that is LAD. And of course, imagine dealing with all those restoration people looking for just that single piece of hardware and then haggling for the best price. Day-in and day-out. Nothing lasts forever. I hadn't heard anything about legal problems.
There always a story! I could only imagine how much customer service headaches they must have ran into on a daily basis.
