Great updates Tim! I do really like those OAP and improved heat shielding. I think you have quite a solution on your hands. I will try to follow in your path. Is your car out of commission during this time or did you put your stock OAPs back on?
Bill,
The rear aero parts I bought that I found out do not fit the GTS rear arms are the parts from the GT4/GT4RS. The parts Tim has are the parts from the clubsport. There is a company we had discussed earlier that combined the strakes of the GT4/GT4RS with the axle cooling of the clubsport for sort of an ultimate option.... however since Porsche never did it hard to say if it is actually the ultimate.
Back to the rear LCA strakes. I am certain I could make them work on the GTS rear arms but that would require some mutilation/modification. I am thinking long term I might get GT3 style rear control arms as well as adjustable toe arms. I have not yet tested the strakes on my tarett GT3 style control arms I put in the front but will report back if/when I do.
What did you do with your 718 this week?

I just left the car at the shop - did not have the stock OAPs reinstalled. It's off-season here so no loss of track time. (Was 9° overnight about a week ago and almost 80° (!!) today but that's going away - supposedly back to the 20s by Saturday night.)J-Dub wrote: Wed Feb 26, 2025 7:01 pm Great updates Tim! The GT4 should be ready next week which is plenty of time - it will be late March at the earliest before any track time.

Would be cool to see pics of your '48 milk truck. Is it a running and/or restored example? Regarding the Datsun, I had a bright orange '74 that I bought new. Great little truck!

Aww, come on , so it should have read dBs, the fun part is there is very little issue with noise when cars have to be under 110 Decibels, ha!

They used to have a big circle with a red line going through it ( think Ghostbusters logo ) for track noise limits!

Swapped my GTS anti-sway bars for GT4 spec anti-sway bars this weekend. I don't yet know how much of an improvement they are, need to drive the car a bit more still. The rear bar was really quite similar and the front bar is quite substantially thicker on the Gt4. I now have three holes front and rear to be able to fine tune the ratio front to rear.

Don't know if this will help but, per recommendations from trusted sources for track setup 4+ years ago, I have mine adjusted Full Soft for front and Full Stiff for rear. It works very well for me. (The factory default setup is Middle for both front and rear.)J-Dub wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 6:40 pm Swapped my GTS anti-sway bars for GT4 spec anti-sway bars this weekend. This GT4 setup chart and/or the attached PDF doc from DSC Sport/TPC Racing that I found later confirmed the sway settings. (Note that I have not followed DSC/TPC's alignment specs precisely although theirs are certainly in the correct ballpark and would be a good place to start.)

Interesting graph and thanks for posting as my GTS is in the shop getting wheel studs and GT3 front arms as we speak. I doubt I can get -3 degrees up front though as the GTS is more limited with camber adjustments.
