Right, I thought that was you. Shoot me your address and I'll send you some stickers, or you are welcome to swing by CP headquarters just a few miles from that venue...Jinman3 wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 4:49 pm Hi everyone!
@blueline, my wife also turned me back onto ice cream. I’m mostly a chocolate ice cream guy but she reminded me how good bubblegum ice cream can be!
@P_Coastal, small world! Are you Canadian or did you move up there for that job? I’ll be moving back in a few years so the 951 will allow me to have as much fun as possible with our California roads before going back to Calgary’s boring, straight, roads.
@Tom, you were actually the one who convinced me to join! I accidentally mixed up your name and Carl, who I met with a blue 356C. Sorry! I would imagine the interior is the original Porsche burgundy as the previous owner took VERY good care of the car and I doubt he would’ve changed the interior bits outside of the half cage and racing seat. Looks like I’ll need to find myself a CarPokes! Sticker

As the beer commercial goes: I am Canadian.
Calgary is a good location because the mountains are so close. Just need to get out and explore.

Cool! It’s why I got the GX470, aside from being a future family and gear hauler, I wanted to explore the public land and trails as there’s a lot of off road camping to be done in Alberta and the mountains.

Good morning Carpokes,
My name is Chris Summers.
I’m retired and living in Santa Fe, NM.
I went down the Porsche Rabbit hole in the 1980’s after rocketing off the Coronado bridge onto I5 in a 1972 Carrera. I’ve owned a 1988 3.2 Carrera, a 2010 997.2 Turbo cab. Currently we’ve got a 2019 991.2 TurboS and a 2022 Cayenne Turbo. I just ordered a 2025 718 GTS 4.0.
Looking forward to learning from guys….looks like a great forum.

Chasing Porsches certainly qualifies as going down the rabbit hole. It extends beyond common sense...clsummers wrote: Sun Jun 29, 2025 10:03 am Good morning Carpokes,

Nice that you're getting a 718 GTS! You must have snagged one of the last allocations for the wonderful 718s. What great driving and handling cars.
Welcome to Carpokes Chris!
