At the urging of some of the forum members, I'm going to post some information on my 968 CS. A bit of background. I'm American, but I live in Germany. I've been a transaxle owner for most of this millennium with pretty much every variant of 944 and 968 except an S2 Cabriolet. I knew when I moved here that a 968 CS would be in my future. Getting in to the Porsche community in Southern Germany, I discovered that there was only one "correct" specification to get for a 968 CS. It had to have the fixed back Recaro Pole Position seats, manual windows, without airbag, no sunroof, and with M030. I wanted Riveria Blue, I settled for Black.

Jeff Coe of the PCA's 968 Register has done exhaustive work researching and documenting the 968 CS so I won't try to parrot much of his information except to point out that in all Porsche literature, it's listed as "968 CS" and never "Club Sport."

My Car is a C00 - Germany specification car. As such, it has some interesting additions that I'm fairly certain are factory Motorsport accessories. The below pictures of the strut brace show the notched fuel rail cover. Some previous owner polished it. I've seen this same strut brace and notched fuel rail cover on other 968 CS, but only ones that are C00. It also came with a Porsche Motorsport front splitter. I was warned by my mechanic that the splitter "flutters" at 200kph+. He was wrong, it starts fluttering at about 175kph. Not an issue in most places, but in Germany it's really annoying and happens frequently.

That's awesome to see the additional photos of your impressive car in more really fine settings doing what the car was intended to do - be driven.

I'd suggest that you did just fine with your black CS. The three together in front of the dealership is a rare gathering I'd guess. And the colors together!

I'm not a transaxle owner so I'm not familiar with them outside of seeing a few out and about as well as perusing what's shared on Carpokes.

Thanks for posting and for joining the community here - it's a great place to be.

Here's a couple more photos. As you can see, the splitter is LOW. It scraped on everything and my mechanic (Reiner Telkamp) said they used to explode them routinely on track in the 90s.

Below is a reproduction of the factory 968 Turbo RS strut brace that I acquired from a local German company. Everything about it is top notch and the quality is really high. We talked about painting it with a transparent yellow to get the same factory effect as the originals, but in the end I didn't want to go for the "clone" look but instead have a proper homage.

All 968 CS came with M220. Gearbox cooling loop was a 944 feature, not on 968s.

Didn't realize I was limited in the amount of photos per post. The splitter is in the last series of photos.

All 968 CS did NOT come with option 220 lsd. And I know the gearbox cooling loop was a 944 turbo feature, I've had 2 of them.

What was the cost for the strut brace? I have written to the person in Germany asking about cost and availability, but have not yet heard back from him?
