I'd tell them to replace that scratched piece. I'm sure a new one would pop right in, and it's totally on them. And...if you want a set of my no-drill license plate mounts, just say the word. No charge to you.
All tiny details aside, that is a beautiful car. The GTS cars are the sweet spot of the line up!
Thanks Tom, I’m really happy the way it turned out, it’s well equipped with 30k of options, I just didn’t realized the Aerokit was so big, I don’t know maybe because of the blue colour making it seem larger I seen the caulk colour in the showroom didn’t seem that big, almost looks like a cup car lol.
The no drill plate mounts is it for the back or the front? I really appreciate the offer, you’re a generous man

Rear wing looks good/proportional in the picture. Have you seen the spy shots of the 992 GT3RS? Now that's a big wing.

I apologize for screwing up the code here. Dany and Tom were the correct guys. Not me. My State does not require or offer a front plate.
However, I am looking to a Atlanta Motorsport event this month or next month. I am already cleared in a track event. I have a vintage race license and completed one event here with no issues.

Well I couldn’t hold myself anymore and stopped by my dealer on my way to work to drop off the license plates, waiting to get the car PPF and ceramic coating done in the next few days
I'm surprised you did not stop by the dealer sooner. The car looks fantastic! The color combination and the aero kit really highlight the GTS.
Fortunately the paint was not scratched and only the front grill trim piece. That is nothing to be concerned about. The dealer will simply replace in a few minutes.
Hopefully, you will have time to enjoy driving her just as soon as she comes back from ppf and ceramic coating.

Ahh yes I remember those mounts, don’t worry about it buddy, it will take a week to get to Canada I’m sure I’ll have the car in my possession by then, much appreciated

Thanks Hawk, been crazy few weeks at work and didn’t have time to drop by to see the car.
Any news from your GT3? Are they waiting for parts?

Well....my GT3 is still being held at the Jacksonville port along with many others. The latest word from Porsche is that the car will be delivered by the end of the month.
I honestly don't know why it is taking so long to reprogram the Gateway Control Module. My SA claims that there are more than 1,000 Panamera's, Taycan's, and 911's at port waiting for this reprogramming. He receives one or two every day that have been reprogrammed but, the delays are significant. Also, there is no ability to track where my GT3 is in the queue either by the dealer or TYD. I won't learn anything further until the car just shows up at the dealership.
I must say that I am very disappointed in Porsche for this delay and, once again for the lack of communication. I have been very understanding of the delays resulting from the supply chain issues, parts shortages, and the war in Ukraine. However, this major programming error resulting in a Stop Sale condition is all on Porsche. Fingers crossed it doesn't take the remainder of the entire month.

Man that sucks, this issue has nothing to do with shortage of parts, those car should of not left the factory without resolving the issues to begin with, seems like they’re just pushing the cars out of the factory and leaving the responsibility to the dealers which is not right when you paying that kind of money and waiting for over a year, I feel for you brother

Thanks for your understanding. According to my SA, Porsche made a conscious decision to push these cars out to the various ports because they did not want to slow down / interrupt production and they do not have the space to store them either at the factory or at Emden. The problem seems to be compounded by the limited number that can be reprogrammed daily at the ports. They simply do not have the programming equipment to handle this volume.
My SA was very forthright in telling me the dealers did not want to interrupt their money making Service operations. They resisted the pressure to perform this reprogramming which apparently takes many hours to perform on each vehicle.
Porsche assumes that customers will be delighted when they finally do receive their cars and all will be forgiven. I am not in that camp. This may be my very last Porsche depending on how long this takes and the condition of the delivered car. Porsche could care less. The demand for their cars is so strong they will simply move on to the next customer. Fortunately, I have relationships with several other brands and am quite satisfied if I never own another Porsche.
