You're safe with me, I don't have any tomatoes

Anything emission related features need to be addressed by a tune. Have you tried a valve opener?
Thanks!!
No valve opener trials. Based on what I have found out so far, it's baked into the electronics so maybe that type of alteration wouldn't work? Seems as though it would have to be a program change.
Anyway, something like that is not anything I'd tackle on my own - it's far out of my restricted wheelhouse and light years beyond my comfort zone.
Mine is a '22 TTS so I also need to be cognizant of making changes that Porsche might frown on (wty).

You need a tune to remove the pop/burbles from the exhaust. Softtronic or Cobb can do it. But you do risk your warranty.

I know nothing of PIWIS except that it exists and what it accomplishes, but it appears to me to be similar (at least as far as intent goes) to Windows Registry.

PIWIS codes the modules to enable/disable features.

Similar to Windows Registry then, except PIWIS appears to be on a much smaller scale.

Yes, it allows the operator to change software variable parameters. Ford does hex strings, so changing
here's a Ford example, the memory location 726-62-01 and then change the second byte.
Keyfob Panic Button BCM 726-62-01 x*xx xxxx xx-- 0=disabled, 1=2 clicks, 2=one click (default)
PIWIS is a bit easier since it's a table.
