Anyone switched out the brake air deflectors on their Cayman/Boxster fior the larger GT3 ones?

Including the Spyder, GT4, and GT4RS

So the two-piece rear brake air deflectors are a no-go but these might work:

Rear brake air scoops: Left 982 505 569; Right 982 505 570

Very similar part numbers but not the same as those above. I see them being discussed here:

https://www.planet-9.com/threads/my-201 ... 383/page-3

and here:

I do not have these on my car (2023 GTS 4.0) but apparently they come standard on the T (?!). I will research further and report back.

Sure appreciate the extra research and sure seems odd the rear ducts on the T yet not on the GTS?

Save your money, after getting the units, we found the ones currently on the Cayman GTS are actually larger. This is probably why they were recommended for a 987 but not a 718 ---------- another lesson learned ,ha!

I can confirm that rear brake air scoops 982-505-569 and 982-505-570 do fit on the 718 GTS 4.0 rear suspension. You will have to remove the tension arm from the LCA in order to slide the scoop onto the tension arm.

If I am not mistaken, the 718GT4 rear brake ducts consist of four separate parts - an upper and lower half that clamp around the left and right lower control arm. PN's are:

982-505-201-A Brake duct, top half, LH rear
982-505-202-A Brake duct, top half, RH rear
982-505-569-A Brake duct, bottom half, LH rear
982-505-570-A Brake duct, bottom half, RH rear
Really bumping an old thread, but just wanted to thank you for posting the PNs for the top bracket—they don't appear on any of the rear suspension parts diagrams, so tracking them down was nigh impossible.

For others looking, the rear right bottom piece has been superseded by 982-505-570-B

Additionally, the screws needed to bolt up the top and bottom parts is PAF-909-059-A

Glad you bumped it as I found out , after ordering the GT3 front brake duct blades that the ones on the 24 Cayman GTS were larger --- thankfully I ordered them through the Dealer and they actually said they would take them back - so cool!

@Ix_ Do you have any pictures or reference of this install?

I offered these up tonight to my car and I don't really see how they fit. Yes they clam shell over the control arm, the front side snaps together and the rear side screws together.

I don't see where they are supposed to sit on the arm laterally. There is a little point that looks like it could locate into the arm if there bracket for the light leveling was not there. It is also not apparent the tension arm needs to be removed to mount these.

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy
