On Friday (the 13th no less), I ordered a set of Fuchs in 18x10, ET65 and 18x8, ET52 from Vertex Auto in Florida. I went back and forth on finish but finally decided on the classic look with silver spokes based on many pictures of Fuchs on various 964 and 993 cars. If they are in stock I should have them in a week or so, but don't intend to install them anytime soon as I may decide to get the 951 painted, do the suspension, etc. I figured it was better to get them now before prices go up as I'm sure they will.

Well, I got *one* of my new Fuchs wheels today via UPS, which is weird since they were all shipped at the same time from All Star Tire in California. Earlier today one other showed "on the way" and the other two delayed, but this evening the remaining three show "on the way" so I guess the rest will arrive Monday.

I'm really glad I went with the silver spokes as they look really clean and classic.

Edit: Since my stock Porsche lug nuts are in less than stellar shape I'm thinking of getting these Titanium lugs from https://www.acerracing.com/collections/ ... -20-pieces. The natural finish is on sale for $259.99 and the PVD black coated are $349.99 for a set of 20. I'm not sure how the natural finish would look with the Fuchs wheels, but I may order a set and if I think black would be better I can use the natural on the S2 as they would go well with the Diamond Black finish on the spokes. I think either one would be more durable than stock Porsche lugs.

Would love to see pictures of them. I have a red '86 with phone dials, and have always thought that it needed Fuchs.... Such a classic look.

The 16" size will fit your early offset car now... you could get 8" and 9", but if you want 17" or 18" sizes you'll need to change to late offset in the front and then use a spacer in the rear (?). I'll post some pictures when I receive the rest of my shipment.

Here's a picture of the rear 18x10. They really are gorgeous in person. The packaging used by Fuchs is less than stellar however; BBS packaging is much better, but they did arrive undamaged. Even though these are the same diameter as my BBS I think they will appear to be smaller on the car because there's less open space and the rim has much more of a dish compared to the BBS whose spokes extend out further towards a flat rim edge. Not sure what center caps I'll use... kinda leaning towards the black with Fuchs insignia since nothing from Porsche will match the anodizing, although I think there are some black plastic with colored crest that may work. I'm probably going to get these black with colored crest valve stem caps from Porsche, 991-044-602-66.

Wow. I need those. Just need to switch over to later offsets. Those are seriously good looking wheels.

Would also love to see one of those side-by-side with a vintage fuch wheel...

Also serious $$$. List prices from Fuchsfelge were $1186.84 for the 18x10 and $1116.81 for the 18x8. You don't save that much going with 17s, maybe $100 per wheel.

Pricing from Vertex Auto (shipped from the distributor in Cali) was $1019.98 and $959.98, no sales tax (big saving for me since our rate is 10.1%), $180 shipping.

Cyberpunky's black center wheels look awesome too. I'd be happy with either but decided I wanted something that looked different from the black center 16" Fuchs you could get on the '86 Turbo.
