So I got all this as a gift in one of those large bags. I took everything out but dont know which products to use when nor which cloth to use them with. The manual, while says "Instructions" is only in German and really more of a catalog...only listing the products with photos from the 90s.

So I use the Wash-Shampoo with water and a gigantic sponge to lather the car; then spray it clean....and then use the 3 (red/gray/gray) wipes to dry the car.

I know the paintwork polish goes on next; followed by the Hard Wax....but I have no idea how to apply it...could anyone tell me how? I dont know which sponge/sides or cloth to use.

Same for Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. I also dont know which sponge/sides or cloth to use.

I apologize in advance if this makes me sound terrible; but I would appreciate help.

The gray microfibres can be for the leather. One to apply the leather treatment…apply it with one side, then turn it over and buff. The second step is then the other gray microfibre for the leather conditioner ..same idea. You can dampen these gray microfibres slightly beforehand.

Then the paint polish uses one sponge. Typically I dampen the sponge. Apply the polish using the sponge, open pore side. Then remove the polish using one of those three microfibres. When the car is done, repeat using the other grey sponge for the wax. Then buff off using another microfibre.
Polish typically is not to be used repeatedly at each wash else it might wear down the clear coat.

As for washing…well I’d recommend you get a great wash mitt microfibre or better yet a wool mitt. Wash with lots of soapy water. Rinse. And I think that yellow solo rag you have looks like a chamois to be used for drying.
The white rag…I wouldn’t use it on paint. Looks too rough.

Since it appears that you’ve laid all these on a concrete floor, I would wash and dry them all before use. When I’m washing my cars, if I accidentally drop a sponge or rag on the floor it goes straight into the dirty rag hamper. ANY grit trapped in the cloths will scratch your paint big time.

I never apply wax with a cloth or sponge. Never use paste wax. Any grit on the applicator will leave micro-scratches on the paint, easily visible in sunlight or fluorescent light in the garage. I always use spray wax with a freshly washed microfiber to apply with minimal pressure. Use cloth once, and in the washer. May not “last” as long as paste, but what else do you have to do today?? (Maguiars Ultimate Waterless Wash and Wax after a pass with a dusting brush to get the grit off).

How new is this car? It its new'ish, don't wax!

Ideally, you would have a ceramic coating on it. If not, then I would think about getting one. It makes washing a breeze and looks like it was just waxed everytime at a fraction of the time.

If no ceramic coating (and if the car is relatively new), I would just use a good hydrophobic quick detailer. (Griots and Carpro have the best). CARPRO ECH2O Waterless & QD Concentrate 500ml (17oz) or Griots quick detailer are the best and easy to use.

1) Wash your car with a pH neutral car wash (no hybrid soaps with wax or anything) and try to use the 2 bucket method for safety.
2) Use a large drying towel to get the bulk of the water off. Youtube how to dry a car with big towel. Don't use pressure.
3) spray sections of the car with a quick detailer. Use a fresh microfiber towel to just gently smear it around with the left over water still on the car.
4) Wait a minute or two, and use a different microfiber towel to buff out the quick detailer. Done!

This is the best method I have found. I would not wax unless you are 100% confident in waxing. But I would suggest getting a ceramic coating done.

If you insist on waxing/polishing, I would watch a couple youtube videos. It can save you hours ha.

------------------

Leather: Get your own applicator pads on amazon. Rub the leather care into the pad with your fingers so there is no big globs of it. Don't buff or swirl it. Just gently wipe up and down evenly. Do sections of the seat at a time. Buff clean with a new microfiber towel.

-------------------

The kit you get from Porsche (like in your pictures) is great, but it's not for everyone. The towels they give you are not that great. The leather products are good, but not the best. Test them out, see how you like them. You should not need to use the leather products on newish leather. I use 303 Leather all in one for weekly leather cleaning (just because I love detailing my cars). The Porsche products are for aged leather to bring back a shine to them. But if you have a new porsche, you should not need that. Plus, most people prefer a "from the factory" look to their leather, and not leather with a greasy shine to them.

The Porsche Interior cockpit spray or whatever its called is actually the best! It evaporates and does not leave anything behind. It's quite good.

Towels I use for various jobs:

Bulk Drying: on Amazon: The Rag Company - The Gauntlet Drying Towel (2-Pack) 70/30 Blend Korean Microfiber, Designed for Quick Absorption - 900gsm, 15in x 24in, Ice Grey + Grey

End Drying/Buffing: Meaning, after you get the bulk of water off, use these to buff it to a shine: The Rag Company - Eagle Edgeless 350 (5-Pack) Professional Korean 70/30 Blend Super Plush Microfiber Detailing Towels, 350GSM, 16in x 16in, Lavender

Great towels for interior: The Rag Company - Edgeless 300 - Microfiber Detailing Towels, Perfect for Removing Polishes

EDIT: What "ram_g" said is quite important. If I ever drop a microfiber towel on the ground. I quickly pick it up, and throw it in the trash. $4.00 towel is not worth risk of a giant scratch along your car. Unfortunately, I have seen it happen before.

The leather in our cars is coated, even the semi-aniline variety. My car detailer, for the last 45 years, doesn’t recommend any leather cleaner unless there is a stubborn stain. He uses a slightly damp microfiber towel. Less is more.

What Larry said is the best advice you can give someone regarding leather. I only use leather products on my 1976 TR6. All my other cars, it’s water or a uv protecting spray that evaporates while I wipe off.

Each one of my cars has its own unique needs to make it look like it just came from the factory, years later. I really enjoy detailing now :)
