Ok guys and especially @Tom, whom I know is much better versed in the electronic part of the Porsche platforms.
My daughter got a Cayenne S 2006. The car is in excellent shape, extremely well taken care inside and out, but the one thing I hate is the Steering Wheel, it is like driving with a cooking pan in your hands, the airbag is gigantic,, the buttons are poor quality and not well positioned.... you get me.
I have a 997.1 steering wheel (with air bag) which I know fits the spline, and I am not too concerned with the radio buttons, or the tip functionality (I can make the pdk switches work for the tiptronic) but my question is:
How do I know if the 997.1 airbag is compatible?
From what I see, the connectors are the same but the 997.1 has 2 color (yellow and green) connectors and the 955 both are yellow.

Lol at myself. I was looking at the airbag connectors from one side in the Cayenne and from the other on the 997. Yes the back is yellow on both, and one has a green and blue, but still would like to confirm if the airbags are compatible.
