Break-in period?

Ok, maybe a dumb question, but does Porsche recommend any kind of break-in period for the Taycan?
Supposedly no break-in required, BUT some parts have their own pre-built "break-in" - for example the regen breaks won't work at 100% until the breaks are set in. So your efficiency (ie: mileage) improves slightly over time once they are at 100%.

I read somewhere that for EVs the break-in period is the first 500 or so miles for the car to understand your driving habits. Not sure if this is relevant. I did drive my car conservatively. I get ~215 miles for 85% charge.
My range is similar. So are there 'filling stations' out on the road? If I wanted to take a 400 mile drive to Southern California, is that realistic with an electric car these days? And are all the charging stations the same? My wife has her eye on that new Subaru Solterra....
This isn't something I've done ....YET... though I do know that some states are more EV friendly than others particularly when it comes to third party charging stations. To my mind CA is one of the leaders in the country in regards to EV charging architecture and I'd think that a 400 mile trip would be an easy thing to accomplish. Simply input the destination into the Taycan's NAV unit and/or an app like ABRP and it will detail the best route and it's optimization for charging along the route. With high speed LV3 charging the stop in this particular scenario would likely be about the same or slightly longer than a normal stop for gas and a snack...
It's not totally impossible, but you have to plan the trip accordingly. I bought my car in CT but had about a 7 month wait for delivery. In the interim, I ended up moving to MD. Once the car finally came in, I went to pick it up in CT and drive it back. It was about 400 miles in the winter, sub 20 degree temperatures at the time. It was my first time driving the car so I had some range anxiety, but I had to stop 3 times to charge. Due to the anxiety, I was typically stopping with 40-50 miles of range left other than the last stop where I was basically empty. That last stop I only needed 7 miles of additional range to make it home, so realistically I should have been able to make it in 2 stops if I had driven a little further prior to the earlier 2 stops. Electrify America is relatively prevalent (at least along the east coast), not sure how it is out in CA. As long as you plan accordingly and hopefully don't get range anxiety the way I did, it's possible but definitely less convenient than an ICE car to take longish trips.Tom wrote: Fri Feb 11, 2022 8:02 am So are there 'filling stations' out on the road?
