I'm swapping out my engine harness with a new Kroon harness, and taking my time to deal with little 'while you're in there' things. On of those things is the small banjo bolt that screws into the KLR. The sealing washers on mine have been mangled for years, all smashed into the threads and acting more like nuts, making it a pain to remove the KLR. Turns out those sealing washers are 959 parts -- part number 959 618 116 01. Who knew! The 959 tax is steep on them too -- they are over $4 a piece for a tiny little aluminum washer.
I tried to order new washers from Pelican, but Pelican said they were NLA. I've since discovered other places seem to have them, but only after I decided to make my own. As best I could tell from my mangled originals, they are 9mm x 5.3mm x .8mm. No luck at McMaster or Amazon, so I put a piece of 1/32nd 6061 aluminum on my little CNC router and am pretty happy with the results.
Originals had seen better days. Much better.

After clipping them out and smoothing off the edges.
Interesting find with part numbers! Sorry for off-topic question, could you please share your router model and your feedback re its ability to cut aluminum parts?
I have a Genmitsu 4030 ProVerXL. It's a hobby level machine, one of several that compete head-to-head in the same price range. I use it mainly to cut acrylic lenses for my gauge kits, but have done a few little things in aluminum. It can do aluminum no problem, but you need a lot of patience and slow it way down. Not practical for production work on aluminum, but for little one-offs like this where it's ok to spend 10 minutes on a single washer, it's great. Here's another aluminum piece I made...
Nice find of the part number.
On the CNC, I have the same one and LOVE IT. Desktop. I have made many al parts such as the short shifter lever for my 944, pedals, etc. Like Tom said it just takes a little patience, go slow and if possible blow the chips away (I don't, as I have it in my office so no air), but if you go slow even the chips will not bother.
Tell us about how you like the Kroon wiring harness?

Yeah, it's amazing what you can do on a desktop CNC machine these days! I've been meaning to upgrade it to a bigger spindle/router to help with the metal, but haven't gotten around to that yet.
I'm keeping a running thread on the install, which has been slow due to 'while you're in there' projects and competing life events. Here's the thread:
