My phone just stopped connecting. This would happen every once in a while but I can't get it to reconnect now. Has anyone had this problem? Internet based stuff isn't working either. It won't even show the phone or let me add a new phone. SiriusXM also isn't working, can only get regular radio to work.

I've had a recurring issue whereby my phone doesn't automatically connect to CarPlay. I hove to force it to connect by finding the phone in my profile.

There's no rhyme nor reason; it'll connect on it's own about 5/10x's with the other 5X needing to be coaxed by me....

You have to go iPhone settings -> forget wlan network from taycan. Then deleting Bluetooth connection to the taycan.

Basically delete everything taycan network related.

Then reconnect everything.

Besides what was recommended above, my challenges with wireless CarPlay were mostly resolved by doing the following:
  • Enable WiFi on PCM (take note of the WiFi name/SSID - usually “Taycan_NNNN”)
  • Within the Devices page, make sure the phone is paired with the PCM via Bluetooth and that the CarPlay feature is enabled for the device (there are 3 columns displayed next to the name of your device where one column corresponds to CarPlay [a play icon]; you may have been prompted to enable CarPlay on your phone when you initially paired your phone with the PCM). If CarPlay isn’t enabled, you will need to pair your phone again (remove device and pair again).
  • Go on your iPhone and confirm that it is automatically joining the WiFi of the PCM. In my scenario, I also had an in-car dashcam that offered connectivity via WiFi and the phone would intermittently connect to the dashcam instead of the PCM. So I turned off automatically join the dashcam’s wifi and the phone will consistently connect to CarPlay after the car starts up (<30s)
For specific steps around pairing and other PCM functions, it’s best to consult the Good to Know app.
