The downside of a great car
Happened to me 4 times so far... the car is amazing.. but the car auto switching to park mode while I am stopped is a pain in the butt! And embarrassing if others are in there car..... how can this not have been fixed by now!?!

??? Is that a software bug, or is the Taycan designed to do that? Do you have to 'shift' to get it going again??
Not designed to.. it's a flaw..have seen others report it as well.. maybe it's just the 2022s. Idk.. the computer puts it into park.. you don't notice until light turns green and your stuck blocking traffic cuz your car don't move...... notice it..pull switch into drive again and it goes... 5 seconds later.

We've at this happen once with our 22 CT4. Sitting at a light that was on a slight incline. While waiting for the light, I pressed harder on the brake pedal to turn on the auto hold, it wouldn't come on. Thought it was odd, light turned green and I hit the accelerator and nothing happened. WTF, finally realized that the car was in Park. Hit drive and off we went.

It must be a software issue for some 2022s. I have an early build 2020 and have never experienced this issue. I don’t recall any one with a 2021 reporting it either. If you haven’t let your dealership know about the issue, say something so it can be escalated to PorscheNA for a fix.
