Well, I sold my 992 on Monday. I just wanted to say goodbye...but not really.
I still have some others so i'm not really going anywhere. :)

Sold it back to a Porsche dealer for less than $3k below MSRP. I think that was a fair deal for an uber quick sale.
This 992 Carrera 4 just wasn't for me.

1) I want a manual. No more PDK. Manual isn't as fast but it's just more engaging for me.
2) I want an S at least
3) I want a convertible or Targa
4) I want rear wheel drive

I want a GT3. At least your wants are attainable. I have a C2S PDK. There are few times that I don’t long for a manual car. That’s the one thing I would change. The PDK is great and superior in all but engagement.
The grind stops when time stops.

992 GTS Targa manual in Carmine would get my vote. Or a 718 Spyder. Either one would pegged the fun meter and run circles around the hyper cars of our youth. :)

Isn't that the truth.

I'm gonna play and have some fun with the Boxster for awhile. That car is getting most of my attention and it's so much fun to drive.

Brake pads this week
Clear corner lights
New radio buttons (right ones on order this time)
Full paint correction
Ceramic coating
Brake calipers painted red
Wheel cleaning with my wheel spinner. ;)
Continued refreshing of interior

I have fun doing this stuff.

How was the ride in the 992 compared to your 997? I have looked at the 991s and 992s and they just seem to be bigger and bulkier than my 997.2. I love my .2 although I wish sometimes it was a manual. Opinion?

The ride on the 992s is remarkable. Extremely stable, but maybe somewhat numbing. The 997 feeling is much more raw.
I loved everything about my 992 except the PDK. The PDK itself as a dual clutch transmission was amazing, but just not for me. I'm looking for more of the engaging feeling.

At some point I may add another 992 into the mix, but it would definitely be a manual.
Visually to me, the 992s are simply stunning from every angle.

I like the PDF given you can always use the shifters to get that semi-manual feeling.

I'm not good at driving manual, too much going on for me so makes the choice easy!

I'm going from 992 C2S cab to 992 2GTS Coupe! The cab was fun and is arguably the better option for street use but the look of the coupe is a bit better IMO.

That is the beauty of these cars. There are no right or wrong answers....just amazing cars and driving experiences to suit anybody. One of the things I love about Porsche and the 911 in particular

I say good luck finding your car unless you are willing to pay +$10K? to get the car?

I've been offered over MSRP for my car, but I refuse to drive around in something other than a Porsche 911.

--Just another thing. My wife hired a light expert to finish her kitchen lighting. --

He said he'd take the Mustang in the garage as payment. She knew the Porsche was worth more and said so. The dude still wanted the Mustang. Go Figure.

I really like all my cars, but the Porsche 992 cars are the best cars ever made.

I have owned eight Porsche 1911's, and the best of the best is a 992. I even ordered a new one.
