I'm still dialing mine in, but I'm at 29 on my ClassicECU/Speeduino (stock injectors and 2.5bar FPR), so 30 doesn't seem crazy. If anything I expect to go lower once I'm more dialed in, as I'm running rich and fast right now, even at only 6 deg of advance.

Re: 951 Resurrection - after 7 years of storage
Ah, got it. You're using a vacuum bleeder AS your leak tester. Certainly a failed vacuum will also highlight a leak, but it is a different failure mode than a positive pressure leak. Not to mentioned harder to track down. It is entirely possible to have a system fully sealed under vacuum (which ...

Re: 951 Resurrection - after 7 years of storage
I received the new gauge for the coolant vacuum tool, and tested it on the car today. It will get to 15 in-Hg of vacuum pressure before coolant starts coming out of the venturi hose.
I left the system under 15 in-Hg of vacuum pressure for 10 minutes and the pressure didn't bleed off, so the ...

Re: 951 Resurrection - after 7 years of storage
I was able to pull a vacuum on the cooling system and saw some coolant pulled back into the overflow reservoir.
Just to confirm/clarify, are you pulling a vacuum or pressurizing your coolant system? If pulling vacuum, then soapy water won't do you any good to find leaks because you're not ...

Re: AFM delete pipe and gasket
Bumping this one, because I just sent off this part to print via Craftcloud . $44 shipped in GF Nylon from Tay 3D in N Carolina.
This one is nicely one piece, so just needs 4 x M6 heat set inserts and should be good to go. A little concerned about inserts into the glass filled nylon. PC would have ...

Re: M030 Insert Help Please
The inserts actually don't require welding (I believe the bilsteins do, but not the Konis), but they do require cutting your existing perches. The inserts are the same Koni Sport inserts you would install in the Sachs perches, however, you get to maintain the threaded perches of the M030 for true ...

Re: New PnP ECU option: ClassicECU Speeduino - build/learning thread
Quick update: 14point7 is shipping out a new WB02 controller. My first one must have been damaged or faulty. Great service and support from those guys!

Re: New PnP ECU option: ClassicECU Speeduino - build/learning thread
“- MAP is reading about 100kpa at engine off, ~20kPa”
This caught my attention. My car idles at ~40 kpa. From what I’ve read seems my idle kpa (vacuum) is a little on the high side which might indicate a vacuum leak. I’ll need to investigate.
Your ~20 kpa idle is very good. I’m curious what ...

Re: New PnP ECU option: ClassicECU Speeduino - build/learning thread
Edit: Re-reading your post, it sounds like the output coming directly from the WB02 controller is giving 8V and may have nothing to do with your use of the factory wiring. If thats the case then yes, see what the manufacturer says, but you may want to run the signal directly to the ECU in any case ...

Re: New PnP ECU option: ClassicECU Speeduino - build/learning thread
Speaking of ignition timing, now is the time to connect a timing light and verify that the values displayed in the tuning software match reality. There is often a function "lock" the ignition timing for this purpose.
Same with key on/engine off checks of all sensor data to be sure the readings ...
