Can you get your hands under there to stick a clip on from below, like the grey one in this picture? Is it smooth under there so my 3M license plate mounting tape would hold? Alternatively, it would be more noticeable, but you could also hook a clip in and down from the front and afix it to the visible shelf at the bottom of the grill, like the red clip below... Just spit-balling ideas while stuck inside with a cold.

@Tom
It is smooth - IMO, the tape would provide enough adherence and friction to keep the grill from sliding back and forth. I think the only thing that might dislodge it is forceful water spray during my biweekly hand washes.

You think you could stick the clip on the bottom of that lip, so you would only see the short part sticking up a little behind the grill? Maybe or 2 or 3 for good order sake? I drew those up quickly with a right angle (90 degrees), but suspect the lip angles downward from the grill, so that it would be better to have may 100 to 120 degree angle??Larry C wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 3:21 pm @Tom

Definitely could get the small grey clip behind the grill. That would be the best fix

I just measured the depth of the lip. It’s only around 3/8 inch, not enough real estate to attach the clip. Sorry - I need to start measuring twice, cut once.
You’re correct - after the small horizontal lip, the plastic lip drops straight down.

Update:
I removed and reinstalled the center grill. Now it doesn’t move at all and there is no space for leaves to get in. I must not have had the clip(s) attached correctly originally.

Interesting. I just installed mine over the weekend, and my front center grill is much more forward than yours, almost to the paint. And it's a VERY tight fit, not loose with a visible gap like yours.
Can you pull the entire grill forward more, which should force it to be "wedged" in better?

Thanks! I actually moved it forward several weeks ago, no longer have a gap and it fits snug. I am a happy camper!
