My SA said he checked today and the car is still at Emden awaiting ship assignment.
I don't get it. That's 2 ships now that have come and gone while it's been sitting there.

Unfortunately if it stays on it's new predicted timeline I won't see it until August as I'm going to be in Europe for June / July.
Oh well.

Fingers crossed that my SA's info is incorrect and the car is on the SFL Composer.
Sorry to hear that. There doesn't appear to be any logic as to what is occurring. I wish Porsche would share the reason for the delays with our dealer or with us through TYD. The lack of information is frustrating. Mine has not started production and no update in the last three weeks.

It's that old communication issue again. We're only human. It's hard not to get excited when you think your car is about to get on a ship (TYD said it was going to by 4/22 originally). Then the date moves to 5/13 with absolutely no communication around what the reason was and in the meantime 2 ships come and go. I'm not expecting them to build cars without parts or create some additional capacity on a ship that's full. Just some communication as to what is actually going on.

Anyway, I feel we keep having this conversation over and over again and it's not going to make anything better.
I'll forget all about this frustration once I have the car I'm sure.

Hang in there. My understanding is that it can take up to 3 days after departure for TYD to update. Get in touch with your SA tomorrow and he should be able to tell you if it's on the SFL Composer. Whatever happens it won't be much longer and will be worth the wait.

And, you are much further ahead of me.

If you are referring to the Grand Champion it is going to the West Coast. Sean's waiting for a boat to Baltimore.

And I don't know which of those Baltimore bound ships I'm waiting for because Porsche won't tell me. My car has missed two of them so far while allegedly sitting at the port.

Finally some good news. Just received an update - "In Production."

Fingers crossed it remains on schedule to depart Emden 05/18/22 on the Sunshine Ace and arrives in Jacksonville on 06/06/22. Given @murphsea's experience I'm not optimistic that this will be the case. But, whenever it arrives I'm sure all of the delays will quickly be forgotten.

I think the status has to say “Actual Date” not “Estimated Date” for the milestone of Start Production to be actually reached.
If you got a separate update from somewhere else it’s probably just TYD lagging behind again.

Looking forward to you getting your car and telling us all how amazing it is.

I believe it is still in the process of updating. My Current Status changed from "Pre-Production" to "In-Production" and on my iPhone app it is now listed as my Current Milestone Start Production which are all new changes. I expect to see the estimated date change to actual date tonight or tomorrow morning. I assume that it could be yesterday's date April 28th but, I am not sure?
