Are you running the LS 4.9 wideband?

If so are the differences from 4.2 any benefit?

Only read a bit online about 4.9 and forgotten what I read other than the basic function of how they monitor A/F

Yes, did not I see a major difference...no. both seem to work well. the 4.2 probably had more issues with older high mile engines
heres the technical answer

I got up close and personal with this beauty a few months ago at Porsche Southpoint in Chapel Hill, NC. I couldn't get any good shots of the interior, but it was drool worthy on the outside.

Of course....it had nothing on my beautiful Nautic Blue 951 in the parking lot . The Zermatt 944 next to mine is NC944er. I'm sure a few of you have seen his tutorials on Youtube. Well maybe more than a few......

Then I think I've found the interior for you.

Chris, not sure if you're tracking this RL thread on updated lighting?

Yes, that was started by the ‘Ultimate 944 project’ originator. We have been working on all sorts of things. Complete new tail lights are being designed to go with the new rear design. The whole idea is snowballing in the right direction – new control arms, making our own wheels, possibly our own intake manifold. Once in a lifetime project to make the best possible.
Already ordered the pistons / rods and sent out the cranks. Base engine is a 2.7 and the ‘S’ engine is a 3.2
