Great idea re transmission oil; not sure when that was last performed. Forgot to mention, plugs and coils were changed at 100k. Thanks!Maruscmn wrote: Wed Jul 09, 2025 4:43 pm How about the spark plugs since your there? oh and new transmission oil! made a difference in my 1-2 shifts.

Summer project add ons
Planning to undertake a couple of slightly larger (for me anyway) proactive projects on my 2004 C4 w/123k miles: AOS and oil cooler. AOS was replaced 7 years ago. Oil cooler is original. I'd say I'm a 2+ on the 4-wrench difficulty scale. Wondering if there's any priorities that I should add while I ...

Re: O2 Socket Necessary?
Well now that I completed the project, I'll answer my own question
Yes, an O2 socket is necessary; an offset version. And nice to have a breaker bar handy as well as a wobble socket.

O2 Socket Necessary?
Hi all, replacing all 4 O2 sensors on my 2001 C4. Seeing conflicting info on the recommendation for an O2 sensor socket vs a 22mm fixed/adjustable wrench. Can all be accessed with a wrench? Would job be easier with a socket? Thanks.

No power to door
2016 Macan S. Front passenger door has no power... sort of. None of the passenger controls work. Fuse is fine, I can control window and outside mirror from driver's door control panel. Might not be possible but would like to have the part on hand when I remove the door panel. Any thought on what the ...

Door Storage Trays
Ok, this may seem like much ado about nothing but ran across these door storage inserts that are reasonable priced, extremely well made, and solve a problem. Everything I look for in an accessory! I have a black interior so they look like they came with the car!

Re: Aos water line flush
Thanks for confirming the clamps. Haven't run across that before. Have aluminum connector on the way. My concern is pieces of the old plastic connector are down in the hose and I would like to flush them out before reconnecting. Realizing there would be a coolant loss, can I start the car to run ...

Thanks. I had a hard time describing it because I only know enough to be dangerous.

Aos water line flush
Removed airbox and noticed the connecter that connects the water line to the AOS became brittle and broke. I think pieces of the connecter dropped into the lower line. Clamps for this line look like a 'one-and-done' type; can't figure out how to open them. If I briefly start the car, will this flush ...
